The New TMNT Intro [Video]

We posted about our excitement a while back about the new CG-animated Teenage Mutant Turtles show that Nickelodeon are releasing, and this past weekend at Comic-Con , they finally unveiled the new TMNT theme song. Look, nothing can beat the ORIGINAL intro, but this rap-infused version which pays tribute to the first anthem isn’t too bad. Us old folks probably don’t get the rap game anyway. The actual show looks extremely promising and could be even better than the show we all know and love.

Nickelodeon’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Have Arrived [Trailer]

Their Michael Bay-produced movie may’ve taken a tumble (probably cos he wanted to make them aliens) but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are still doing fine in other media. Not only do they have new comics over at IDW Publishing, but the Turtles are also about to star in a brand new CG-animated TV show on Nickelodeon.

Four Childhood Cartoons That Taught Me About Life

The other day, between doing important shit like fingerpainting and defending our house’s front yard from the forces of evil, my 4-year-old nephew was looking for something to watch on TV. While most days I’d just put on one of the bajillion kids channels provided for him on the idiot box, this time I turned to some illegally downloaded avi files specially-purchased nostalgia-tripping DVDs. Being a kid, he doesn’t really give a damn about things like the quality of the animation he’s watching, so given this opportunity, I decided to put on one of the shows that I grew up on. That got me thinking about the shows I loved as a kid and the huge influence they had on me (and my childhood wardrobe), which brings me to this: my list of the four cartoons that helped warp my young mind, for better or worse, and showed me how to live.
