Here’s a lil’ hitbait for ya. Our favorite indie as fuck band Shortstraw have produced a short documentary series from their December 2013 tour. Shot primarily by guitarist Tom Revington (who you may recall co-directed a Yo Grapes music video), the video sees the band hit the open road and do the goofy shit we love seeing them do.

So it’s that time of the month again – THAT time for some of you as well, I guess – but what I’m talking about is the monthly Boosh hosted by Shortstraw at the Zoo Lake Bowls Club. This is the event’s 20th iteration and it probably has one of the most killer lineups to date with Kabaal Klankbaan, The Vagus Nerve, Al Bairre, Shortstraw (duh it’s their Gad damned event (that won’t happen again)) and The Plastics.
Hey, your Tuesday just got that much better because Das Kapital and Thor Rixon have just released the tracks Do Azid and a remix of Shortstraw‘s Bikini Weather, respectively. They’re both up for free download so get on that ish while it’s still hot.
We hated 2013 but there was no way we were gonna let that rat bastard drag us down into the black sinkhole under the universe. Instead we got some of our favorite people to help us compile a highlights reel of some of 2013′s best and brightest, from music to movies to moments in their lives.
