Oh my word! If this low key disco remix from Todd Terje doesn’t make you feel better about Monday, well I just don’t know if anything will help. This is a beautifully structured remix featuring groovy basslines, hushed vocals and creative synth use – this is by far my favorite remix of Hot Chip off their new album, In Our Heads. 9 minutes of my day that went by way too quickly.

Yes, I am that friend. The friend you want to stab when you’re listening to a song you love and hear them say “You know, she sounds EXACTLY like this live.” And no, I didn’t live in London for 2 years pursuing my dreams by making sandwiches and having average weekends of watching M.I.A on the Friday and LCD Soundsystem on a yacht on Saturday (true story). Everybody has their thing and mine is live music and traveling. So it’s little wonder that I’ve developed the habit of combining the two with quite interesting results.
Yes yes yes! Hello new Hot Chip music video! Thanks for blessing us this Tuesday with your awesomeness. I’m not sure what’s exactly happening in this video, maybe because comedian Peter Serafinowicz directed it. He also directed their last music video I Feel Better off the One Life Stand album. Night & Day showcases some nice dance moves from cult followers, cool visual effects going on inside the spaceship and even a special appearance from General Zod aka Terence Stamp. This is Hot Chip’s lead single off their upcoming album In Our Heads which is going to be released in June.
