Their Michael Bay-produced movie may’ve taken a tumble (probably cos he wanted to make them aliens) but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are still doing fine in other media. Not only do they have new comics over at IDW Publishing, but the Turtles are also about to star in a brand new CG-animated TV show on Nickelodeon.
Take a look at the trailer after the jump.
Entertainment Weekly debuted the new show’s trailer and it looks pretty slick, although obviously more kid-orientated than the last TMNT show. And why the hell not? Kids watch the best stuff anyway. Also, I quite dig that the song tucked away somewhere in the background of this thing sounds like the old 80s cartoon’s theme. For added flair, it turns out American Pie‘s Jason Biggs will be lending his voice to Leonardo’s green blockhead. Does that mean the plot of this new show involves the Turtles making a pact that each of them will lose their virginity by prom night? Why isn’t Eddie Kaye Thomas voicing Donatello, and Stifler playing Michelangelo?! Eugene Levy should be Splinter, cos we’d love to hear a giant humanoid rat talk about “stroking the salami”.
Did we just ruin everyone’s day? We’re sorry.
