Future Islands was one of my favorite bands of 2011. When we-are-awesome did a post on them in anticipation for the new album, I immediately fell in love with the song ‘Balance‘. The gruff vocals over the catchy synths, well-paced bass and romantic strings was a unique combination that got me listening to it for dayzzz. I can say the same for the rest of their album, On the Water. However, this Track of the Day, ‘Cotton Flower‘, is an unreleased track which is a part of the Less Artists More Condos 7″ series from Famous Class Records.
