The Hamster Alliance likes video game graphics and the styling that surrounds them, so he put this trippy video together that covers the history of video games, using only cubes to represent the respective titles. There’s a lot of flashy lights, so consider this your epilepsy warning. Just like for old school video games.

Of course there are the classic, iconic graphics of games like Super Mario but there are also some references that didn’t ring any bells to me. I’m also really surprised that Metal Gear Solid‘s familiar cardboard boxes weren’t used. This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, since you’ve got to understand the references to actually appreciate it.
