Hozier is Ireland’s slightly older and bearded Matthew Mole. OK, that was bad, I’m clutching at straws over here, they don’t really have much in common. Hozier garnered quite a lot of hype with his debut EP Take Me To Church, doing all kinds of damage over in the UK on BBC.
His latest single shows that maybe, just maybe, this alternative pop hit maker is someone to keep an eye on. From Eden was actually recorded live on the prior EP but this time the mastered version sounds even more powerful, with the drums pushing the track forward and leading into a great big chorus.
