This Thursday, be sure to get to Kitchener’s for Hi5, where Bye Beneco and The Illovo City Council (Gil Hockman’s new band) will be performing with Plaat Japie and Rosie Parade, playing you some sweet folk & country vibes. HOWL – Steve Rusznyak & Chantel Van T (13/06)

Illovo’s number 1 live folk music night, HOWL, happens at Wolves every Thursday night from 7, this edition of HOWL sees performances from Chantel Van T (from the band LA.VI), Steve Rusznyak and Diamond Thug. Listen to Chantel Van T’s music here.

 

Gaschette Magazine Presents the Egality Launch Party (14/06)

Gaschette Mag is throwing a party to celebrate the magazine’s 5th issue. They’re throwing it at Egality in Parkhurst and you’ll get a sneak peek of the new store space and some new brands, plus live DJs. Booze is on them! Its happening this Friday at 6pm.

 

We Are Your Friends (FREE party for DDM Lovers) (14/06)

For all you disco lovers out there, head on over to Kitchener’s this Friday for an epic party! On decks they have Duchess, Corvair, Shuffleshame, Casioheart, Sassquatch and Data Takashi. They’ll be playlisting songs from bands like: Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem, Gateway Drugs, RAC, Disclosure and more. An Intimate Rendezvous at Amuse (14/06)

This Friday at Amuse Café you can check out Flint, meet Spark., David van Vuuren, and Shout Hey!. It starts at 7:30pm and it’s only R30 entrance. Check out this tune by Flint Meet Spark, it’s awesome! Now, don’t you want to go check them out live?

 

Al Bairre//Bye Beneco//Diamond Thug//Shortstraw (15/06)

Get to the new Bohemian in Westdene this Saturday and check out Al Bairre, Bye Beneco, Diamond Thug and ShortStraw. With a line-up like this, you know it’s going to be a rad gig! DOUBLE FEATURE (Two Great Parties for the Price of One!) (17/06)

This Youth Day, Kitchener’s is having two parties for the price of one. On Sunday at 4pm you can check out The Brother Moves On, Savage Lucy, A Million Things and Satori, and from 9pm onwards you can check out Richard The Third launching his album Left of Center with DJ Danger Ingozi, Andrew the DJ and more. R50 gets you in for both parties and don’t forget, the next day is a public holiday!
