We were growing extremely weary of the #craftlife and the same hangout spots in Maboneng, Braamies and Greenside, so this past weekend, Another-Day and Red Room hosted Escape The City, taking it back to the old days. For the first-timers, the dimly lit David Lynchian bar in the Wild West was an intimidating leap out of their comfort zones.
There’s a lot to be excited about in September, GTA V was just released, Heritage Day is coming up (which means I can play GTA V the whole day), but most importantly, there’s a very special party occurring this Saturday. Placebo also just released a new album and the band’s timing could not be better.
Who says there’s nothing to do in Joburg? The Beard will tell you what’s going on and keep you up to date with new music, events, gigs and exhibitions in and around our city.
