SEGA Revive Sonic The Hedgehog With 'Sonic Boom'

I never thought I’d see the day that a Sonic The Hedgehog trailer started with a Hans Zimmer style “bwaaaaahhh” horn score. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Everything from our childhood is making a comeback and when it does, it’s coming back vewy, vewy sewiously. Bwwwwaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. Not that Sonic ever really went away, I guess. He just never had so much sports tape on before this.

This trailer is to wring in Sonic’s new makeover for Sonic Boom, the video game, cartoon and (obviously) big merchandising reboot/revival that SEGA has decided to give the character for around his 23rd anniversary. While I doubt I’ll be getting my hands on a new Nintendo console anytime soon, I’m quite impressed with the slick animation for the Cartoon Network series in the cartoon’s trailer below and, being an uncle of five, I can imagine my nephews in particular loving the show (Uncle Blogger – it’s a thing).
