I’ve been listening to a lot of garage rock recently and I’ve been enjoying the hell out of it. The raw messy sound of guitar and drums coming together in a crash of joyful noise. With all the processed and clean recorded sounds of the morden age it’s so very refreshing and fun to hear stuff like this again. One of the artists I’ve been enjoying a lot is Mississippi duo Bass Drum of Death. Best known for their raw performances and stage presence, the duo are about to release their second LP the self-titled Bass Drum of Death, due for release on May 25th on 3qtr Records (Yip, Odd Future’s label).
