Track of the Day: Battle Tapes – Feel The Same

So how about some good old fashioned electro synth rock band? Yes? Okay! Battle Tapes (they’re from Los Angeles, California) are just what you’ve been looking for. I’ll give you 10 points if you can point out how I stumbled across this band. Dark, gruelling and sexy. Honestly they have one of the most fun sounds I’ve heard in ages.

It’s making me happy thinking about their future prospects. I choose the single that made me fall for them, Feel The Same. And I love the chorus ‘I’m digging deeper, but I just don’t feel the same’, the delivery by frontman Josh Boardman is fucken fantastic. The combination of synth and guitar just drives the pace of this song so hard. You can’t help but get caught up in the energy. With what will undoubtedly be their breakout year, I can’t wait to hear more from this band. Find more of their music here.
