Not to go Oscars crazy or anything right now but did you guys get a good look at those phenomenal title cards used to introduce each of the nominees in last night’s broadcast? The individual posters are the handiwork of The Mill+, the agency whose handled similar work for the Academy Awards for three years running now. Take the jump to see a gallery of the amazing images.
Overseen by creative directors Manija Emran and Henry Hobson, the project focused on the top nine categories of the 86th Annual Academy Awards, producing astonishing individualized artworks for each film and in each category. If I had to identify a personal favorite it would be the posters for Best Production Design and the weakest may in fact be the posters for Best Director. Give them a look below and decide for yourself.
If you’d like to see all the posters you can check out The Mill’s blog for the full series and find your way into their other work as well.
