Cape Town based illustrator and animator Gerhard Human creates artworks that are set in seemingly simple scenarios, yet have a mind blowing amount of exaggeration in terms of the details he provides each object. My favourite piece of Human’s, partly seen above, is titled Obscured by Clouds, and features a simple colour palette and immense line work that make me feel like I’m that guy in the image; eyes closed, falling amidst the chaos.

The lovely boys of Shortstraw are in a good place right now. They’re fresh off winning an MK Award for “Best Indie”, opening for The Kooks at the 5 Gum Experience and releasing a brand new music video… and now they’ve released their second album. Good Morning, Sunshine will be in stock at Wolves in Illovo from tomorrow, but is currently available for download at whatever price you’d like to pay.
