First Teaser For Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ [Video]

Acclaimed director (and inventor of the amazing Bane voice) Christopher Nolan has been hard at work on his latest film, Interstellar, which stars Matthew McConaughey (whose career is in the middle of an insane recovery) and other Nolan go-to performers like Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway. The film is expected just under a year from now but here’s the first teaser right now.

From rumors doing the rounds on the net, Interstellar will apparently involve a team of scientists travelling into a wormhole to find other worlds on which humans can grow fresh crops and sustain our species. I’m not sure how much of that will turn out to be true but I’m willing to do the year-long wait alongside you to find out. Despite The Dark Knight Rises‘ failings, I still really like Christopher Nolan’s directing and I’m keen to see what he does with yet another original project. Especially since each subsequent film since The Dark Knight has really seen him scale up what he’s willing to do in terms of action in his films.

This first Interstellar trailer feels more like a commercial than many recent film trailers have but that’s what I like about it. It’s got a sense of gravitas to it that feels removed from what this film might even be about, although it’s obviously still setting things up for what’s to come.
