When last did you and your friends have a game of Capture the Flag (or Kissing Catchers for you cooties-infected fools)? Watch the trailer for I Declare War, which explores the events of a game between the neighbourhood kids in the local woods. The imagination of the boys and girl obviously don’t see everyday objects as they are, but rather as weapons of mass destruction. Takes you back, doesn’t it?

I’m picking up a bit of The Lord of the Flies in terms of the major themes at hand, the darkness of the human heart as one, and the lines between reality and imagination being blurred as the other. I Declare War definitely doesn’t seem nearly as sadistic or wicked as Lord of the Flies, as implied by the closing line of the trailer.
