Speedos, budgie smugglers, ding-a-ling slings. Whatever you call them, these tiny items of swimming apparel made it to the first Speedo-Fest in full force this past weekend. Held at Rumours Lounge to raise funds for the Florida Water Polo Club, the event also coincided with Viking Ragnarok, meaning the world ended there and we’re all just living in illusion now instead.

Yes, we said Florida Waterpolo Club. Get ready for more bands than you can probably physically handle, all brought to you in the finest Best Rand tradition. The waterpolo people have partnered with the band people at Rumours Lounge for a rather big ol’ gig to celebrate (as the organizers put it) “music and scantily-clad waterpolo players”.
The five badass dudes of Gangsterdam are quickly climbing into all of our hearts through their many gigs and now, You Are The Rain, their first single is out. Filled with great guitar work and what can only be described as a good old rock feel, Gangsterdam’s first outing has me excited for their future.
