When Bombay Show Pig were in South Afica, they were shooting footage for their new music video. They were also calling for entires for people to record and send in their own footage too! Pretty cool idea, huh? Well have a look at the result, as ‘Timewaster‘ was released earlier this week.
I will say it again: I miss Oppikoppi. My heart aches for the sun, dust, booze, bands, bass and friends to all be in one place again. I seriously have a case of post-Oppi depression, which I pretty much feel every year. Here’s the pics we took, along with some of Neil Van Vuuren’s.
The dude standing just in front of me at the Red Bull stage turns to his friend and, with a reasonable level of concern in his voice, musters a hushed, “Dude, where are we?” With a hand placed firmly on his buddy’s shoulder, doing that reassuring grip-and-release thing people do, the friend replies, “At Oppikoppi.” The first guy nods slowly, pupils so large they look fixed in his sockets, unable to catch up to the movement of his skull.

I especially love the commentary in the video, it epitomises everything Oppikoppi stands for, not just Red Bull Studio Live.
