Way back in 2008, the music videos for Peter and Minor Disagreements, by Desmond & The Tutus and Kidofdoom respectively, were made as part of the Levi’s Young Guns showcase. The bands decided to shoot 2 videos on the same night, in the same venue, with the same people, featuring cameo appearances from one another.
Ok. No, no there isn’t. But South Africa’s (and Japan’s) premiere indie/afro/disco/dance/nameagenrehere band are back with the latest music video from their album MNUSIC. It’s for their single The Future. The video follows the band through some private moments (nice shot in the toilets, guys) on their way to play a big show down at the coast.

Every year, MK – South Africa’s only dedicated Afrikaans rock and alternative (and occasionally electro) music channel – holds an awards ceremony at Pretoria’s State Theatre. It’s kind of a big deal, filled with South African musicians you’ve probably heard of (and a few I haven’t), and lots of ladies in the right kinds of dresses.
