Love Deserves A Second Chance In ‘Life After Beth’ [Video]

When I first watched Warm Bodies, I thought it was a pretty unique take on the RomCom genre. If you haven’t seen it, it’s that movie about a girl who for some reason falls in love with a blue-eyed zombie boy who ate her boyfriend and, oddly enough, I enjoyed it. Now, in similar fashion, Aubrey Plaza stars as a zombie girlfriend who creepy Harry Osborn is so madly in love with that he uses this opportunity for a second shot at love, in Life After Beth.

I’m not a zombie fanatic but if ZomComs are becoming a thing, I’m not complaining. I think the satirical approach to our existing ideas of love is weirdly refreshing. Seriously, I’d rather laugh and get the feels watching a guy try and maintain his flesh-eating girlfriend’s habits than watch another kiss-in-the-rain scene with Adele playing in the background or something.
