With the release of the Michael Bay produced rendition of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles due later this year, everyone is looking back to the good ol’ pizza lovin’ dudes that we knew from the ’90s. Like that time that they were featured in a whole 40+ minute episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, doing musical numbers in denim sleeveless jackets.
Apart from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being taken a little outta context because of their new touring boy band, managed by a very awkward April O’Neil (it’s the ’90s, of course everything is gonna make us cringe), I think it was actually a really cool way for them to interact with their greatest fans by answering their questions with a whole lotta enthusiasm. If you told me you wouldn’t have loved to be on that set with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Oprah, you’d only be lying to yourself.
You can view the whole episode if you’ve got the time, but jump to the Q&A session that the Turtles had with the kids at 29:44.
