It’s One Tank Against 300 Nazis In David Ayer’s ‘Fury’ [Video]

You may not know it by looking at me but two of my favorite kinds of movies (after ‘So Bad It’s Good’ movies) are probably Westerns and war movies. That doesn’t mean I automatically enjoy every single one that comes out, but I just fucking love the plot and staging of a good movie that’s, at its core, about old-fashioned heroics. David Ayer‘s new war film, Fury, looks set to be the good kind of war movie, starring Brad Pitt, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman as a five-man tank crew set to take on 300 oncoming Nazis during WW2.

And it looks incredibly good too. Lerman plays the rookie that Pitt doesn’t seem too chuffed to have on his team, and the rest of the guys capture that classic “Easy Company” feel that every good WWII movie needs. This also looks like a visual feast, you guys, so come hungry. I mean, just look at this poster…

Also, shoutout to Jon Bernthal, the best thing about The Walking Dead season 1 and a dude who is slowly but surely ascending the ranks of supporting cast actors to show up in bigger and better films. That guy deserves the attention.
