We Missed Celebrating Independence Day But That’s Ok Cos ADHD Says America Is Terrible [Video]

Growing up, every job I wanted seemed like something only Americans got to do for money. Directing films? Steven Spielberg was doing it. Animating cartoons? Disney owned it. Drawing comics? Thanks, John Romita, Jr. Basically, the reason I am a critic who runs a website out of his home office is because of America. Fuck that place. At least the folks over at ADHD seem to agree. For the Fourth of July (yeah, we missed it) they created this satirical look at the United States using the old Captain America theme song from his 1960s cartoon.

In a world where we’re frequently reminded that we live in “The Third World” by media (and other citizens of this same third world who wish they could afford a one-way trip to Australia), it’s nice to see Americans choosing to remind other Americans that they are in fact living in the statistical equivalent of an obese person who cannot read and is slowly dying from illnesses related to AIDS. It’s a complex world out there. Thanks for reminding us, Captain America.
