The 'Magic Mike XXL' Trailer

Just like Channing Tatum loves Ginuwine so much he can’t help but dance in this trailer, Another-Day loves Channing Tatum too. He’s gone back to being sexy again cos if you can’t win awards, you better make that greenback to rub it in everyone’s faces. Like the Lego Movie, Channing was also robbed this year at the Oscars but here’s the thing, he just wants to have fun and make good movies. Magic Mike XXL looks like just that kind of movie.

I enjoyed Magic Mike. I really did. There was a lot more to it than anyone really expected. That said, if you haven’t seen the film it’s honestly super hard to think about how they would do a sequel. The footage in the trailer doesn’t give all that much away but I mean, it doesn’t really need to. The whole thing is a love letter to Ginuwine’s Pony and how Mike (Channing) can’t deny its power. Although the sequel takes place three years after Mike retired from stripping, XXL centers on his reunion with the rest of the Kings of Tampa for a blowout final performance in Myrtle Beach. That’s not what sells this movie though. Sexy men tearing up the dancefloor half naked is. This time the group is also minus one Matthew McConaughey, who is probably not nearly as ripped at the moment and also into “serious” movies. Come back, Matt, we miss the fun you.

Back to Magic Mike and if there is one thing that Channing will never let us forget, it’s that he is one hell of a dancer. The kind of dancer that makes you wanna dance, maybe with your clothes on sure, but you still wanna dance. Magic Mike XXL looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun. Just watch for yourselves.
