I’ve never been good at goodbyes. If I were though, I’m not sure I could pull off something as elaborate as what former Die Heuwels Fantasties drummer Philip Erasmus is doing on the band’s Facebook Page right now. Rather than take being kicked out the band on the chin, Erasmus has taken the band’s Page “hostage”, uploading status after status, probably waiting to get banned or something.
The ridiculousness of Erasmus’ trolling seems to have started around two hours ago, when the band’s former drummer posted the following status as the band, after changing their profile picture to one of his face in front of an Audi, an apparent symbol of the money he was making playing for the band.
Ironically, the band’s fans seemed to respond quite well to the comment, perhaps echoing Erasmus’ apparent sentiment that all that any of us wants is money and fame. That part wasn’t clear yet though. He was still getting to it, because for the two hours after that, he continued to post status after status, throwing in the occasional short InstaVideo before dropping a self-made YouTube video featuring himself driving around in the Audi at night, apparently chastising the band in a Blade Runner style monologue where he admits that he was only in the band for the money. Or something…?
